The MEDITERRANEAN

 

 

 

In summer, the Mediterranean invites you to voyage through various picturesque and full of life harbours where a halt is particularly recommended for lunch or dinner in well known gastronomic restaurants of the Riviera or in the sympathetic and cheerful ambiance of the typical mediterranean "bistrots", whatever their nationality will be.

 

 

West Mediterranean

The Côte d'Azur, from Cassis to Monte Carlo and Menton, famous for their reputation, combine the majesty of their palaces, casinos, night-life and luxury shops, with the magic of the nature and the accessible coasts.

 

The joy of the Italian Riviera and its warm popularity, the islands of Lipari, Elba, Sicilia with the Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe, "voir Naples et mourir..." (See Naples before you die...), and continue for Capri, Amalfi, from where you can visit the famous ruines of Pompeï...

 

Corsica, the island where Napoleon Bonaparte is born, with its history, the harbour of Bonifacio, a superb medieval town, and the well known Lavezzi Islands. Or Sardinia where are beautiful bays and beaches such as the Costa Smeralda.

 

Or Spain and the Balearic Islands, with their varied coasts, between rather classic towns or more exciting with sophisticated and wild nights, like Ibiza for example... Without forgetting the wealth of the hispanic culture and architecture !

East Mediterranean

 

The Adriatic coast is presently a very interesting cruising area. You can still immerse in the former european's atmosphere with its castles, temples, tombs and old ports.

Besides that, a string of islands, just off the coast , offers you lots of charming and small marinas.

 

Greece will always remain a destination of antique beauty with its amphitheatres, temples and historical cities. You will recognise the mythical past of one of these mediterranean civilisations in the ruins on most of each island of the Ionian Sea and Aegean Sea...

Time smoothly flows between past and present, at the rythm of the waves and the breeze which will accompany your boat through the Cyclades or Dodecanese...   Turkey, the intersection between Europe and Asia, and not far away from the Dodecanese still keeps its original character, while appreciating also recent harbour installations. Navigation is superb between light winds and sheltered moorings, and discover historical classified sites.
